What is the best twincharger in the market?
I have a Honda Crosstour V6 and I wanted to install a twincharger (both super and turbocharger) to my engine. I know the cost will be close to 10,000 for total purchase and installation. I'm not an expert but if you are, can you answer this:
Can my engine (Earth Dream's V6) engine have the capability to have both chargers installed on to it?
First, there's no such thing as a twincharger. That's just a term that a couple people coined when they decided to put both on an engine.
Second, you have far bigger problems. The Crosstour uses a specific type of control module for the ignition and fuel injection which can't be tuned for any boost. Also, nobody makes a manifold to attach a positive displacement supercharger to it. And nobody makes a turbo setup for the crosstour.
So, to do what you're asking would cost, at minimum, double, if not triple, what you estimate it to cost. Everything would have to be custom fabricated 100%. The turbocharger and supercharger units themselves would be the cheap part… And since an Eaton M60 supercharger is about $3000 and a good, big turbo another $1500… Then you'd have to rewire the whole car to run a different ECU that can be tuned… Or worse, you'd have to swap the entire engine/transmission/PCM from a V6 Accord to do this… The swap itself would cost nearly $10k.
First place to start is with the brakes. Make it go quicker you need to be able to stop.
Then look at the suspension and steering.
Next move on to the transmission. More power = transmission broken.
The car may need to have the structure strengthened as well.
When all sorted then you can blow your engine up.
Why does every one start with the engine it is the last thing to modify.

Would appreciate if your responses is backed up with experience, i.e. Someone in the business, salesman etc. Or actual knowledge first hand. Nobody is reading the question and answering it…
