What is the difference between 200 amp and 500 amp in jump start cable?

So if i'm driving a perodua viva (1000 cc) malaysia car, is 200 amp enough?
what if the other car is a much bigger car use to jump start my car say for example honda or toyota?

Starters pull high currents most cheap jump leads are 200A and get hot when you use them. Ok for occasional emergency use but like much cheap stuff you'll wish you bought the better ones the first time you burn your hand or the car doesn't start with the jump.

200 amp cables are fine for your car which does not require a lot of cranking amps to turn over.

Don't use your 200 amp cables to try to start a bus or a diesel truck, those big engines will require a lot of amperage to turn over, get it?

If you use the 200 amp and it gets hot and starts smoking. Then you should replace it with the 500amp cable before it sets on fire,
both cables will do the job of jump starting, just be aware the lighter cable can set on fire

Hi Only a 4x4 diesel would need a 500 amp cable to start it. The 200 amp is fine.
