What's the longest amount of time your car has spent at a repair shop?

2 years ago, I brought my car to a friend's shop and it sat there for 2.5 months and it sucks because the only thing that needs to be replaced was the hood since it had dents and some rust. I brought it there since i don't have the tools. I mean, it's a Honda it's one of the easiest cars to get parts for and i told him to find any color hood so it should be easy. When i scavenged my own parts in the junkyard I was able to find a spoiler and a headlight within a day, a hood should be easier to find!

I've got absolutely no idea.

I purchased an antique English Sports car a few years back at auction.

During shipment to my residence the transport company damaged the rear 1/4 panel, the axle, the wire wheel rim. It took three months in various shops to repair the damage, most of it time spent sourcing and waiting for parts.

The actual work for the repair was less than 2 weeks though.

Almost a month. The mechanic was waiting for a transmission and when it finally
got there it was the wrong one.

Never. Just long enough for an oil change.

About 5 days I think.

That would be my drive way i do what needs to be done on my car, who has money to give to a friend or a mechanic, well then sounds as like he wasn't to hip on fixing the car, a hood can be bought at just about any junk yard, and well what can anyone say

2 weeks
