Which car brands are better?
I know Nissan, Toyota, and Hondas are good cars but also too expensive. I go to school full time and work part time so I need a car but don't want to buy a horrible car that will break down all the time. I was thinking of getting Chevy aveo, chevy cobalt, Chrysler pt cruiser, Kia rio or a hyundai Elantra something that doesn't cost too much which one is more of a reliable car
You can get a used Honda or Toyota in that price range and you will still be better off.
Don't buy anything GM or Chrysler, way too many quality issues and they will break down all the time (notice that the Cobalt and PT cruiser aren't made anymore, there's a reason for that) Stick with Hyundai or Kia. You may want to add Ford to your list
Ford focus, mazda 3 or 6.
No chevy or Chrysler.
The reason Nissan, Honda, and Toyota are more expensive is because they are good cars. With cars, you get what you pay for. All of the cars you mentioned, except the Hyundai Elantra, are junk. Some, like the Aveo, Cobalt, and PT Cruiser were not even good cars when they were brand new.
I suggest you find a good Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla. The extra money you might have to pay up front will be money you don't have to spend on repairs later if you buy a junky car.
Hyundai is my best beat ( American cars a ****) not reilable
Honda, Toyota and mazda are the only cars I feel good about buying BUT( yes there's always one) no matter the car you choose(as long as its one of those) you need to make sure that it was WELL taken care of.
let say you buy a civic from a kid who race the car every day, even that the car is a Honda the car was abused. Short story don't buy from kids, bring car to a trusting mechanic. And by TRUSTING I mean someone who knows the car is good. If you look for someone you don't know chances are that the mechanics will steer you to buy a car that shows signs of problems, guess why? Somebody trusting will have to fix it, right?
sorry for the demoralizing information. Just make sure you can trust the mechanic OR bring a friend who really knows about cars with you.
btw I will not touch a 1st generation Focus not even with a 100 foot long pole. Forget about domestic cars like Ford GM, or Mopar(Plymouth, Dodge, Chrysler).
Audi, Bmw, Vm
According to me the Maruti is best car brand.
Hyundai is the most trusted brand and I would like to suggest you Hyundai Elantra among of them.
- Why is so few car brands in the US? I'm tired seeing of fords, chevys, hondas, toyotas, hyundais, kias, VWs, and etc. Isn't like renault, peugeot, citroen, seat, and suzuki good reliable cars?
- Which brands of cars are more reliable and less expensive to maintain? I have been driving American cars, Honda, Toyota and they're easy to find parts when something go wrong. I would like to buy a Volkswagen beetle or a European car. Like 2004 or 2003 Volkswagen beetle. If something go wrong, does it cost more to fix it? Is maintenance more expensive than a Honda or a Toyota yaris. I know the Honda and Toyota last forever after a few hundred thousand miles and they re still in excellent running condition with regular services. What do you guys think?
- What's your most and least favorite car brands? State a specific model if you want. Favorite- 3 way tie between Porsche, BMW, and Mercedes. I have a Mercedes C320 and it's very reliable. I also own a Honda but I want to replace it with a BMW X5. I do hate a few of their cars such as the BMW X6 Least favorite- Dodge and Chrysler. Not impressed by their styling and build quality. I also hate Toyota, i know their cars are good but their cars just doesn't impress me
- What are some good and reliable sports cars by these brands? I'm looking to buy a sporty type car from one of the more reliable brands. From what I've heard, Toyota, Honda, Acura, and Hyundai are pretty solid. By good and reliable i mean which cars hold their value the longest, which cars are the least expensive to fix if something did go wrong, etc. I'm just looking for a basic list of some good cars that cost less than 20,000. Obviously not looking for brand new cars
