Which car engine can I put into the HONDA acty?
The only engine that will fit without serious modifications is the same Honda engine that came in it from the factory.
In a front-wheel drive car, the engine, transmission, steering & front suspension are all 'folded' together into one unit, and bolted together. So anything you want to put into that package has to line-up with these existing bolt-holes to maintain the integrity of the car. It can be done, of course, but it ain't cheap & easy.
You can fit all kinds of engines, but none other than one of the the stock engines unless you're up to doing serious modification work. The most powerful version of the stock engine is the E07Z turbocharged version, but minor mods will be required, such as new ECU.
The same one that is in there, never heard of an acty.

- Can a 16.L engine fit into a 1998 Honda Civic LX? (before doing engine swap)? I had an blown motor on my 1998 Honda Civic LX, I have new spark plugs, distributor cap and some other items, however, since the old spark plugs happened to be melted as well, I have no option other to do a engine swap. I've been doing some research, and it seems like I only have the 1.6L engine as a option. By the way, the blown motor is a D16Y8, and is automatic.
