Why doesn't honda or acura make sedans that run on a V10 or V12 engine?

Just curious.

Bigger engines are heavier and guzzle more gas. That's why most car companies don't go larger than V8.

Development costs for a vehicle that is outside of their target market.

A V12 supercar isn't something Honda is going to dump hundreds of millions of dollars into.

Women decide what cars to buy and do not purchase overpowered engines.Women have the spending power of unlimited credit and use it with extreme prejudice. The American Civil War was between science and religion and science won.Slave labor was religious and was replaced by the machines of science.Slavery ended because slaves were obsolete not because slavery was wrong.Slaves were sent to the junkyard of tenant farms.

Henry Ford paid high wages to get a reliable workforce because the production line required each step to be performed properly.Child labor ended because children were obsolete not because child labor was wrong.Children were sent to the junkyard of public schools.Robots will replace human workers so nobody will have the money to purchase an overpowered sports sedan.Expert systems will replace Doctors so there will be no need for a Doctor's car.

Combine expert systems with robotics and you get a self driving police car and sterilization implant kiosk.Humans will go to the junkyard of welfare and alcohol.Women were just a stepping stone for science to eliminate humans.Robots will make life hard except for those at one thousand feet in skyscrapers.Star Wars is psy-ops that religious Jedi can defeat a droid takeover.I'm too sexy for your robot.Slushy alcohol in several flavors is girl power.

The only companies that build V10s and V12s are the prestige luxury brands (ex. Mercedes) and low volume supercar producers - Honda isn't known for either. V12s are advantageous for their silk-smooth operation and are well suited to flagship luxury cars, such as high end Mercedes S-Class.

It would be impossible for Honda to design and manufacture a V12 luxury sedan and see a return on the investment; people who are willing to spend $150,000 on a 12-cylinder saloon are going to buy one from a prestige brand instead of a more mainstream brand like Honda.

Honda makes mostly FWD vehicles, some of which also run AWD. This means they're going to be nose-heavy to begin with. A V10 or V12 will make it much, much worse, and it's going to handle like a pig dipped in maple syrup.

Honda and acura are more into economy friendly based cars. Hondas and acuras are mass produced and v10s and v12s are expensive engines most cars with v10s and v12s aren't mass produced because not many people can afford them so they make a limited amount and wait for them to sell than they make a couple more cars and wait for them to sell. And plus nobody really needs a v10 or v12 unless you have more money than you can count or you have a pick up and you use it to haul stuff but you don't want a diesel engine or you're state or country is strict on diesels. Also with a v10 or v12 since there are more moving parts there's more parts that can break. Gas mileage with those engines would put a hurting on your wallet.
