Why don't Mitsubishi are reliable as Toyota or Honda?

Why don't Mitsubishi are reliable as Toyota or Honda?

Lack of reliability can result from any number of factors, such as poor employee work ethics, poor quality parts and suppliers, poor manufacturing procedures, poor quality control and inspection, and poor management.

I find Hondas unreliable. They had bad transmissions, early ones ate valves. Toyotas, stuck throttles. Over complicated electrics. You hear nothing about Mits or Isuzu.

Corporate culture. For instance, Chrysler has a great design team and makes very good looking cars, but the Chrysler and Jeep products have a poor production team.

Inferior engineering, design, and quality control. It's that simple.

And in the case of Mitsu, which in its glory days would sell to anyone with a pulse, the buyers had no clue how to take care of the cars.

Because they build them for more performance than reliability.
