Why gasoline better than diesel?

Over 11.7 million cars sells gasoline than 2.9 million less selling diesel cars in the US

But can't find diesel honda, Toyota, nissan, or other Asia cars.

Gasoline is better due to a few factors (but not better for all factors) , fuel is cheaper and more readily available, engine lighter, acceleration better, engines are quieter, cost of vehicle is often 15-20% less.

Diesel is only cheaper if you do very big mileages and petrol gives slightly better performance.

Diesels cost more to build, are less refined by nature, and require more complicated emissions equipment. They give you lots of low end torque, but that means power peaks quickly and diesel engines are less rev happy than gasoline engines which necessitate a turbocharger to deal with it. Japanese automakers pretty much gave up on their own diesel engines in the 80s which left a bad impression in Japan. In Europe, however, Nissan uses Renault diesel engines and Honda has developed diesel engines for the European market recently.

Its more available than diesel, not all gas stations sell diesel. Soon it will be cheaper than gas.

Diesels do better overseas since their EPA restrictions are not as tight as USA. There are diesel cars overseas getting 70MPG easily. Here, its more on the consumer. People don't like noisey diesel engines so thats why most prefer gasoline engines over diesels
