Will Mclaren-Honda make it in time?
I'm a Mercedes AMG fan but all my life I came from a Honda background. My dad had 4 Hondas so I started liking them.
I'm just concerned about their performance at Jerez, Spain. Jenson did a lap of 1.27 and Alsono did a few seconds worse. I don't think Vettel and Kimi will beat Mercedes this year again. Ferrari did speed and power laps and meanwhile Mercedes did endurance and reliability laps. 516! No one else did 400 even! But Sauber Ferrari were close.
I think they will, I also think McLaren will do well, the car looks good, slim and tight sidepods and rear end
lets hope the engineer's fix all the bugs during the next test, so the drivers get a good feel for it.
It's always too hard to tell after 1 test how the season will go but it doesn't look great for McLaren. Honda have alot of work to do to catch up with the other three suppliers. Also Renault and Ferrari have to catch up with Mercedes and so don't be surprised if the works Mercedes team dominates again.
Honda is still experimenting and judging by Renaults woeful year last year, it seems like Mclaren will run out of power units for this year. Regardless, if McLaren has a good chassis, they can still win races (Red Bull did it with Ricciardo). Also, the real questions is, will Force India make it at all?
I guess only 'time' will tell! Fact is it's most probably going to take a while to get it right as always. The engine may be great but if it doesn't suit the car, this may not be going to give them the results they want. Interesting Jens. 'out drove' Alonso! Much as it probably means nothing, end of the day.
- Some nobody in a Honda rear ended my Benz, how can I be compensated for my valuable time? His insurance is taking care of my car but so far it wasted 3 hours of my time. My salary is in the upper six digits so every minute counts.
- Should McLaren use 2014 chassis with 2015 nosecone until rest of season? McLaren this year are awful because of transition period from Mercedes-Benz to Honda. McLaren this year's MP4-30 also flop because several pointless including Jenson Button at Monaco 2015
- 2004 honda civic dashboard gauges are recalibrating every time I start the car? I got a new battery for my civic last week. Ever since, every time I have started the car the gauge needles shake and the odometer scrambles before adjusting to their appropriate places (or mileage). Also, the Trips on the odometer reset each time also. Is this a problem? It never happened before I got the new battery.
- After getting my car serviced at the local honda dealership I'm noticing a popping every time I make a sharp turn A google search tells me its a Cv joint failure. I just paid for a full diagnosis and then $1300 for rear brakes and a compliance bearing. How would they have missed this obvious noise, that I may add I never heard before. Mechanics shops - killing me!
