4th gen honda prelude fuel tank?
Do I have to drop the fuel tank? Replacing the fuel pump cause my car dies randomly.
Yes, It's an in tank fuel pump. But you should make sure that is the problem first. The easy way is to spray starting fluid in the intake when it dies. If it starts you know it's a fuel delivery problem. If not, it's an ignition problem. The fuel pump relay is the weak link. You can swap out a same number relay (horn, lighting, fan) and see if that works. On some cars they have a fuel pump check connector. Look up your year car to see. But if your car has 150K miles or more, chances are good the pump is tired. Here's a post on it http://troubleshootmyvehicle.com/honda/2.2L-2.3L/how-to-test-the-fuel-pump-1
- What is this part in my honda prelude 4th gen? There's a small black box right under the air intake tubing that has two hoses coming out, one of them is disconnected and I need to find where it goes. Unfortunately I can't find it in any vacuum hose diagrams. Anyone know what it may be? I'm pretty sure it connects to the air intake or atleast one side does but there's no open holes I could see
