1997 Honda Accord For First Car $2000 150k or 2007 Grand Prix?
I just got my license About 3 months ago. My choices for my car is a 2007 Grand Prix or A 1997 Accord. Which is best for long term reliability like until college. I graduate in 2019
In general, the Honda is you best choice. However, any used car can have problems related to being driven hard and poorly maintained, or being wrecked and poorly repaired. You won't know for sure until you have the car inspected by a professional mechanic. Just realize that $2000 doesn't get you much car.
Grand prix. It will be easier to find parts, and it is newer, so hopefully fewer miles on it.
Which has been fully and properly serviced and maintained? Can the sellers of each show you proof of maintenance receipts? If they can you will know it has been well taken care of.
Any vehicle which is being sold for as little $2000 is likely to have fairly major and immediate repair issues. If you are wise you have have the vehicle inspected by a certified mechanic before you consider purchase.
FYI, the Honda as an overall superior reliability rating compared to the GP. But again, it's all about how well the car has been taken care of.
Like totally Honda
- Muffler Deleting a stock 08 grand prix good or bad? I have a stock 3.8 V6 Grand Prix and want it to sound like a stronger car and not a Honda would a muffler delete be good or will I have to do more like a resonator delete too. And if I were to do the muffler delete what would be the cheapest most effective way to do it. I'm on a very tight budget so preferably DIY.
- Is it weird to wear cloth brands like versace, gucci etc and drive a car around 70k-150k range? I know wearing those brand and driving like a honda, toyota etc would look weird, but is cars like mercedes, bmw ok? Or does it have to be something higher like maserati, ferrari, lambo, aston etc?
- Sell this car or keep it? I have a 2008 honda civic with 150k miles. Recently, it had a cracked engine block? Honda honored the extended warranty and fixed this at no cost to me. I now have a brand new engine with no miles on it. Is this the start of several repairs, and should I sell it? Or should I keep this car?
- How much is a Salvage Honda Civic 2003 with 150k miles? I got in a car accident about 3 months ago. The car is remodeled and fixed. It has a new paint job, new headlights, the airbags were placed in. I want 4,000 for it. Is that a reasonable price? It cost me $2000 to fix it.
