2016 Honda Accord or 2016 Honda Civic?
I'm going to buy a car pretty soon and it's going to be an accord or civic.
I don't think the car will be used for a family vehicle other than for a transportation to myself and sometimes my girlfriend as well.
But then, I want a car that won't hit over 3000 rpm going just 70mph.
What should I get?
Accord is nice but I have a weak spot for the civic!
The Accord is larger, quieter, smoother riding, and more expensive.
The Civic is more nimble, more fuel efficient, and less expensive.
It's a personal choice. BTW, so what if it hits 3000 RPM at 70 MPH. That's not even half way to red line.
Get both.
If it's not expected to carry many people often, a Civic is probably enough. Both those Hondas are good cars, so get the one you like better and/or can get a deal on. But like many Hondas they do like to rev. On the other hand they are very efficient, so don't sweat the rpms. Take a test drive, tell the salesman to let you try it out on the freeway, so you know what it cruises like as that is where you do most of your driving.
Civic. The Accord is nice for families. It's more refined and adult great for traveling too. But if it's mostly you then get the Civic. It does have a CVT auto but it's quiet and roomy. Plenty for one adult
If you want good gas milel, age and less expensive car go with the civic. If you'd like a little more luxury go with the accord. Both are good cars.
