Car showing wrong mileage than actual, is it create the problem or how we solve the problem?
I bought used old car 2001 Honda accord from small dealer. At that time on car's meter is showing 149000 mileage, after I bought same time they did inspection, everything was fine. But one year later, I renewed my car's title, and I tried to inspection from auto shop. They told me your car showing wrong mileage than actual millage, I surprised. I knew the dealer where I bought, they told me false about car. Or they may changed car's meter or etc. What I have to do, I'm worry, is it create problem to car inspection or pass? If I sell the car anybody, he can create problem for me, or talk the dealer where I bought. Or how I solve this problem?
How did they find out the mileage was wrong? If the dealer changed it, they could face criminal charges. You could sue the dealer for misrepresenting the car. The title will have to be changed to show that the true mileage is unknown.
Hi if this was bought here in the united kingdom that fact you have discovered maybe down to you because from the year 1995 it was common place for most dealers to have little stickers on the mileage clock saying it may not be the mileage covered by this car. So then this issue is down to you as customer sold as seen as most cars over 10 years are. So you have no recourse against the dealer. Also what to expect from a car which is over 10 years old and over 100k miles. Wellbeyong the design date of the manufacturer by some 2 years when it is 10 years old.
so sad to say you only have yourself to blame for buying such an old car.
Did the dealer actually say that the mileage shown was correct? I'll bet he didn't. With the best will in the world they can't confirm that, it's possible for an instrument to be changed for instance if it becomes faulty. No dealer in his right mind will certify a car's mileage unless he knows it definitely to be correct.
You'd have to prove a) that the dealer claimed it to be correct and b) that he did so knowingly.
That's why one should never rely on indicated mileage without confirming it in other ways.
- Will buying a newer mower solve my issue with dying while cutting thicker grass? I have an older 6.5 hp Toro and it dies frequently going through tall or thick grass. I bought a brand new Toro with a 190cc 7.25 ft/lb. Torque engine and it had the same problem, perhaps more so. If I spend a little more money (about $400 more than the new Toro) and get the Honda HRX217VKA will it make a difference? It also has a 190cc engine but I've read that the Honda engines are much better.
- What is the Actual Mileage of Honda Activa? I want to Buy new Honda Activa But I dnt know what is the actual mileage of this scooty. Or should Igo for Vespa? Which is best?
- 2006 Honda Pilot oil stick showing low oil? The car has absolutely no obvious leaks and its not burning oil we bought a new stick and changed the oil but yet it's still (stick only) showing as low oil, what could be the issue? Is the stick (bought new one from dealership ) the issue or can it be leaking out somewhere that's not in plain view? I'm taking it to mechanic next week but I'm trying to see if I could get Tips Here first. The car runs perfectly fine, no obvious issues.
- What the actual top speed of the 2003 Honda element is? I know the speedometer says 120 mph but i'm definitely sure that the governor reduced the speed to an extent. Also do you think the Honda element is an ugly truck?
