Honda accord '91 window won't go up

Honda accord '91 window won't go up, help?

Added (1). The window in the drivers seat won't go up correctly. Basically when you try to roll it up there's always a slight gap in the alignment of the door frame and where the window is supposed to be. When you roll it down, however, it's just fine. Any solutions to this annoying problem?

Get a can of silicone spray lubricant. Spray it into the glass channel on both sides and work the window a few times. If that doesn't help, the glass may have come loose from the regulator mechanism. Does the window make a clanking sound when you start it moving? You'll have to take off the inside door panel to see what's wrong. If the 2 screws holding the glass in place are loose, you can tighten them to no more than 5 ft-lbs.

It could be the regulator. It could be the window glass has separate from the regulator. It could be the window rail has broken, not a common cause but I've seen it happened.

The only way for you to find out the true cause is to remove the door inner panel and operate the that window and see.

The solution is simple: The power window regulator, of course the whole thing come as a unit: Motor/ Regulator and cost about $55.00 at your local auto part stores.

Two good answers. The window channel friction is a common problem and so is the regulator. But the regulator for the 1991-1993 Accord is about $300 new - I got one from the wrecking yard for $75.
