How much should i sell my crashed car?

So i've called some places and they are only offering $50 for it and imo its a worth a bit more than that… It got rear ended on right side but the car still runs, the damage is worthat $2,300 and i paid $2,500 for the car so i don't think its worth fixing it and i don't have the money for it.

I posted it on craigslist for $800 but i stated i'm willing to negotiate on the price… I don't want to go lower than $500 though…

What are my options? I feel stuck with this car i need another one for school and work… The insurance company isn't giving me anything due to lack of evidence.

Any suggestions?

Your car is possible worth more as a parts car if the engine and transmission is good (newish). So you could strip it yourself and part it out on eBay or craigslist assuming it is a popular car parts may go quickly. You might get $400 - $800 for the engine alone, but obviously this is effort on your behalf doing the strip out. If you can sell it as a parts car whole then you will also make more money but maybe not as much. All depends on the car and it popularity. If the damage is just a rear panel then getting a second one and doing the work in the car shop at school - most high school have a metal shop and they will maybe fix it for you as a learning exercise for the students. That's about all the input I can offer you.

If you show us a PICTURE, that would help a lot

Your vehicle is not worth more than $1000 in non-damaged form. With damages that exceed that, it is only valuable as a parts car, or as salvage, not as a whole, vehicle. As such, unless you own a salvage yard, you're not going to get much for parts, and you need to think about selling it to a salvage yard - top price is likely $200, wholesale.

Depending on what kind of car it is and what parts are undamaged you should be able to get between $150 -$350 for it at a salvage yard.
