How to keep it running good?
Yesterday I bought a 1998 Honda Accord LX automatic for $1500 and it has 183,000 miles on it. It runs amazingly, but it needs new brake rotors which are getting replaced this weekend. I'm just worried the transmission will slip like what has happened to others. The car has a new starter, new spark plugs and spark plug wires and a new battery. I love this car and I want to keep it running good, are there any tips on how to make this car survive over 300k miles?
Do regular oil changes with high quality oil, check the manual for all the maintenance and do it at the right intervals It's nowhere near a racecar, so don't drive it like one. If it has a timing belt, 99% it does, make sure that is replaced when recommended, because if that breaks it could do major damage to valves. Make sure you keep the fluid up in the tranny.
- My 2006 Honda Metropolitan Moped is not running right? When I slowly give my moped gas it runs fine until I hit about full throttle, then it like starts to bog down, its hard to explain but we think its a carburetor problem. Due to the previous owner taking off then air cleaner for an unknown amount of time. If you can give me tips/advice I'd appreciate it.
- Running a VIN check on a dirt bike in Australia? So I was considering running a VIN check on my dirt bike, which is a 00' Honda Cr250 (un-registerable). I'm in Australia and I'm not sure where to go to get this check done as this bike would not have any registration history. Ideas? Help? Much appreciated as i'm just trying to find out my bikes past & possibly the first owner.
- Is it good to keep a new bike at rest for more than 2months? I'm going to buy a honda cbf stunner 125cc bike tomorrow. Well, I'm just 17years. I would be turning 18 only by this August. Is it okay to ride the new bike locally until I gain license?
- I have a 2006 Honda Metropolitan, WHen cold it starts up but i have to keep revving it to keep it going? I have already replaced the battery, air filter, spark plug, did an oil change, got new gas, cleaned out the carb. Once it is warm i have no issues with it. It usually takes about 3 to 4 min of driving it to get it warm but once warm everything is fine with stopping and going.
