After how many months we should change the oil for honda activa scooter?

6 months maximum regardless of miles covered

Step 1: Warm up the engine and Put scooter in center stand.Step

2: Loosen the Refill bolt with 12mm Socket' ring spannerStep

3: then remove the Drain Bolt3>> let the oil drain outStep

4: Rotate the tire slowly. Which will help us to remove the oil completely.Step

5: Tighten the Drain Bolt.Step

Pump the gear Oil into transmission unit using the oil gun5>>insert the nozzle fully into itStep

6: After pumping the oil in. Let the excess oil flow outStep

7: Put the Refill Bolt back. Look for any leaks. If there's no leak your ready to role. Enjoy!

  • My honda activa has started losing mileage just after 2 k km - what should I do/check? Initially my activa was giving around 40 km/lit, in city conditions, but since last 100 km the mileage has dropped down to @ 25km/lit; also if the engine is left idling the speed drops and then the engine stalls/stops. Could it be a dirty carburettor or/and something else. I have not changed the grade of fuel or the petrol pump station. Also this has come to notice since my last free service, done in June'14. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
