Are Honda Civics known as being reliable?
I'm looking at a 2009 Honda Civic. I have never owned a Honda though. I hear these are generally good cars. Does anyone here have personal experience with them?
Honda Civics are indeed known as being reliable, as long as they have not been abused by teenagers. Most Honda's reach 200,000 or more if cared for, so be confident in choosing a Civic.
I have a 2004 Civic and it is amazing. Gas is great. I've had it for two-three years and i'm just now in the process of getting work done on it for the first time.
We have one that has been going strong since 1999. Has a few spots on the paint, but goes when other cars don't. Great car.
Yes, they are reliable.
Very reliable. One of the advantages of the 1.8L engine is that it uses a timing chain. No need for expensive timing belt replacements.
- What's the deal with honda not being able to use coolants with silicates if it makes the coolant better and safer for the engine. Reason? Is it for a reason or just honda wants our cars to last shortly? Any more answers i was checking out that video then checked and notice newer cars don't use the coolant anymore so what's the deal we have to go back to inferior coolant i've read it eats the seals in cars? Any more information?
- Paying for Honda Loaner Car From Dealership while Paint Recall is Being Fixed? I'm going to be paying $33/day for (1 to 2 weeks) for a loaner car from my honda dealership while its away in the shop. Is there any flexibility in picking what car I want or do they automatically assign me a car. I feel like since i'm paying i should be able to pick what car I want, or even pay a little more for something nicer?
- Honda crv startng to squeak again after being fixed last year? Someone told me to lubricate the rubber mounts I replaced in the back to reduce squeaking. It squeaks over bumps and gravel road. I have noticed its silent only on rainy days. If I do lubricate do I need to lift the car or can I just get under it and spray the lub?
- Why do so many people hate on honda civics? I currently drive 2000 Honda civic with 160,000 miles on it and it runs like new! The only thing I've had to replace is the brakes and the battery! Its hhonestly the most reliable car I've had and I've had a corolla and a Taurus b4 and neither one were near as good as this
