Running a fridge off 12V?

I'm about to be homeless so I'm looking to get a small refrigerator in my Honda Civic. I see they make 12V refrigerators, but what should I do about my electrical system? The refrigerator needs to be ran 24/7, so it will drain my battery. Should I get a few of those deep cycle batteries? Can I keep them charged by paralleling them to my stock battery? Is my alternator gonna be able to power all that?

And what do I need to look for to make sure I won't run out of power? Watts for the fridge & Kw/hrs for the batteries?

Added (1). I'm employed. I don't even wanna get into it. If you live in the US, you know very well full time workers at our wages don't pay rent, not even shared. Just looking to set aside funds. I don't have the 1.4K for a new security deposit + my firsts month rent so Ya i'm gonna be homeless. Assisted housing is for losers --ppl who don't wanna work. Not gonna throw myself in that environment

A Honda Civic is a very small car. With your clothes, toiletries and other assorted personal items, you might not have enough room for a frig. I would forgo the frig and find a weekly room.

Sorry for your misfortune. Running a 12 volt 'fridge off that car battery is not really going to be practical. Might I suggest a high quality cooler with ice? Probably cheaper that the gas required to keep the car battery(s) charged.

You need a propane powered refrigerator (see link), you will never be able to keep an electric one going - it takes too much power. Used ones are available on Craigslist for cheap. Be careful about ventilation.

Also, be selective about where you park - the police take a dim view of people living out of their cars, and in some cities there's an ordinance against it. It can be done, just be careful.

You can also use the propane for cooking.

Can you rethink your requirements for a fridge - saving you money from not buying one and adding the extra batteries and charging to the car?
