2001 Honda Odyssey doesn't shift into gear in the morning?

Unless the transmission has really low on fluid: Your transmission need to be replace or a rebuild is needed. I'm still remembering the time that doing recall on the Odyssey for second gear update, replacing the torque converter or the transmission itself.
Edit: Here's the recall:
Honda issued a warranty extension on 2001 Odyssey's transmission for 7 years and 9 months (93 months) or 109,000 miles, whichever occurs first. The TSB # 02-062 dated Jan. 05, 2007. Basically, Honda dealer would check and replacing the torque converter or the transmission or both on your vehicle at no cost to the owners.
Any code? Any "D" light is blinking? If you don't want to spend thousands of cocos for a rebuilt unit then I would suggest to get with any of your local transmission shop is your next best option which is familiar with or specializes in Honda automatics, other than buying a used unit which might have the same defect or internal damaged (99-04 Odysseys are the worst ones)2001 Honda Odyssey doesn t shift into gear in the morning
