How much will BRAKE repair cost? Can I fix it myself?

My mom wanted to change parking spaces of my dad's Honda Pilot 2006 and the parking space are like right next to each other and she did it without pulling the brake of the car. The brake is next to the accelerator and stuff and has to be done with foot and not hand but she forgot to do it and drove the car for like 1 minute and now the break is like jammed. It won't pull up it's like completely jammed we tried but it won't work. She's literally crying her eyes out since it's my dad's car so I was wondering what she can do. If she has to pay for a mechanic how much can the job be done for because I'm going to pay for it so she doesn't have to deal with it.

Try this. This is tricky but works sometimes. Start the car and back it up the ebrake should kinda hold the car while in reverse darn near jump on the ebrake pedal and hold it hard and tight and give the car a bit of gas every few feet pop that ebrake pedal up quick then right back down pressing hard. The action of the car moving backwards and tension on the cable with a quick release may un jam that brake pedal. Its a long shot. You can also try to find where the cable exist the pedal on the underside of the car and see if there's an old school tightening bolt and loosen it. After that you are removing the wheels and getting to the actual brake.

Driving it with the brake on will NOT damage it for that distance. It might ad a little wear over time. It is designed to stop the car at speed in an emergency.
It more sounds like you father trod on it hard. There's usually a release lever to take it off. Have a quick read of the handbook.
When you try to pull the release press the pedal at the same time and as the release moves release the pedal.
.

Drive the car and try to release the brake at the same time, forward and reverse. Around the block won't hurt anything.

Is it the disc or pad but it should be around 300-450 each

LOL. Its not jammed, you just need to push it further to release it. Its push on, push off.

  • About how much would it cost to repair the front bumper on my car? The right side of the bumper on my 2003 Honda Pilot was hit today and it's a bit dented in along with what appears to be scratches perhaps. Like, they're these streaks of white paint on them that I think might also be scratches. Would I have to replace the entire bumper or can that be fixed by itself?
  • How can I get myself to not have the urge to spend money? Well I'm saving around $1000 for a car. A honda but I keep having the urge to spend what I have. I make about 300-380$ week and my mind is killing me all it knows is BUY BUY BUY and I don't even need anything really but my own car or a dirt bike. Any suggestions to help the urge
  • Install front license plate bracket myself, or at dealership? Cost difference? I know it'll be cheaper to install it myself, but I'm afraid to damage the front bumper since I have to drill holes to attach the bracket. If a dealership does it they'll know exactly how to do it since they do it all the time. It's Honda that I'd be dealing with. I know they're expensive, but would a bracket installation really be that bad through them?
