Added (1). CORRECTION! Which SUV will last longer and/or better quality, Honda Pilot or Hyundai Santa Fe?

Hyundai Sonata is a sedan, not an SUV.

The Hyundai Sonata is a 4 door sedan, not an SUV. Might you be referring to the Hyundai Santa Fe?

Regardless, both the Hyundai and Honda are very good quality. The Honda receives slightly better quality ratings but the Hyundai has a longer term drivetrain warranty.

Buying & Selling

I think the Honda has a better reputation for quality and reliability, but the Hyundai has a longer factory warranty, so while it may be slightly less reliable than the Honda, the required repairs will be paid for by the factory. As long as YOU follow the factory recommended service schedule, BOTH cars should give reliable service for AT LEAST 10 years and 100,000 miles.

I don't know much about Pilot but I think they've had some bad rep a while ago. As far as the Hyundai it will hold value until the warranty expires, after that braise for impact. Btw I know first hand experience that around 60K 2 friends of mine had their elantra and accent overheat I don't know if that was fixed on newer or other models.

Honda

The sonata is not an SUV.

If used, it depends on which one is in the best condition right now. If brand new, both are about equal in terms of reliability.

The Hyundai Sonata is not an SUV. If you mean a Hyundai Santa Fem the answer is the Honda Pilot.

The Sonata is not an SUV, thus the Pilot is your best buy. Honda has an excellent reliability score and will definitely serve you well for long years to come!
