What kind on interest rate on auto loan with bad credit?

I have poor credit, due to some severe health problems which caused me to miss work and incur medical expenses 6 years ago (which were then sent to collections). At this point, I have everything shown as paid or settled. I finally qualified for my first credit card in 6 years. It's high interest, with a $39 annual fee, but it's unsecured at least.

My problem is that I need a car now. My current car has severe electrical issues that even the dealership can't fix. It only has 156k miles on it, so I thought I could continue saving until the bad accounts dropped off my credit report. I was hoping to use the credit card to restore credit. However, I need a car NOW. I have $3,000 to put down on a car, and a credit score of 629. What kind of interest rate can I get through a Honda dealership? What kind of interest rate through my credit union? How do I rate shop without taking a severe hit to my credit score?

You do not have a bad score. Try being me at 22 with a score of 563

In the UK we have lenders loaning money at 4700%. Yes really. And it's legal. They advertise on TV.

  • Is there any bank that i can get a motorcycle loan even though i have bad credit? Hi, i have bad credit (i'm 19 and i'm working on my credit) and i'm looking for a motorcycle to save miles and gas for my car and i just got declined on my credit unions and i'm hoping to see if there are lenders with decent rates for bad credit. I make 30k a year and i would love to get a honda shadow and yes, i'm licensed for motorcycle. And is motorcycle lender a legit site?
  • Can i get a motorcycle loan with no credit no cosigner but cash down? I'm looking at a Honda CBR and a Harley Davidson. The CBR is $3800 and the Harley is $5500. I can put between $1000 and $1500 down. Do you think this will be enough to get me a loan. I'm working fulltime and make enough to cover all my bill's. I just haven't established my credit yet. I don't know if it is relevant but I'm 19 years old
  • Is it a bad idea for me to refinance my original Honda auto loan? My credit has improved over the last 6 months and I would like to refinance in another 6 months or so once I feel more comfortable with my score. BUT is this a bad idea? Will Honda scold me for this when I go to the Service dept for maintenance? Or will other future lenders see me as some sort of unreliable consumer moving forward? I worry about this. Any advice would be great and much appreciated!
  • How to transfer my auto-loan to another vehicle when trading? I'm a planning to get rid of my Honda to get a Nissan. I still owe about $1.5k on my Honda through Chase Bank. I will also pay $2k more for the Nissan. So basically is there anyway to transfer the loan to my new vehicle? And if possible can I add the $2k onto the loan? So I would then have a $3.5k loan? Basically I'm trading this guy for his Nissan 350z and I will pay him $2000
