Where would I cut frame at?
So I have a 81 Honda cb650 that I'm making into a cafe racer. I have it stripped ready to cut. But I can't seem to figure out where to chop off to add my seat hoop. There's not much room left from where the 'flat' part of seat ends and the shock mounts begin. It seems If I were to cut just right before in front of shocks that the seat itself would be too small and then I'd be screwed. Any help? Tips? From any fellow cafe racer builders? Owners?
By the way, it's not a custom. And this is my first cafe build.
Why not cut the frame rear of the shock mount?
- Scooter Frame transfer from Florida to Texas? So I'm looking into buying a front frame off a honda metropolitan to swap it with a damaged ruckus frame. The front frame is what has the vin number on it. The frame is from Florida and comes with a title but I live in Texas. How would I transfer the title from Florida to Texas?
- Why does my motorcycle cut off at an intersection? I recently bought a 93 honda nighthawk cb250 and sometimes when I'm coming to a stop and I'm downshifting and I get to first gear and make the stop the engine kinda cuts out i don't know what I'm doing wrong if anything, is it the choke? Am I not supposed to downshift before stopping? This is my first bike and I need some help.
- Frame sliders really work? - 1 So I'm determined on financing my first bike next week (Honda CBR500R). For me $6,300 is an *** load and I plan on taking as much care of it as I can. So I plan on getting frame sliders incase I drop it or mabey slide (hopefully not). Has anyone experienced their frame sliders work before? Is there better frame sliders than others? What els should I look into to keep my bike tip top shape?
- If I made a few mods to the frame of a 1972 Honda z50, can I classify it as a moped? The 1972 honda z50 came with a vin. So it had to be street legal. In Michigan the engine has to be under 100cc, automatic engine and not go over 30 mph to be a moped. I have seen some mods that people have done to the frame but I just wanted to make sure
