1986 Honda xr250r brake line coating?
I'm trying to restore my xr250r. My brakes work great, but the plastic coating around the brake line is ugly. It is yellowed and cracked and needs to be replaced. I'd rather not buy new brake lines because they are working fine. What do I use to recoat/replace that plastic coating?
Exchange your collections. These are cheap and will also be shocked in the amount less complicated along with greater brand-new collections work as opposed to latest versions.
Replace the lines. They are not expensive and you will be surprised at how much easier and better new lines will work than the current ones.
The 'cracking' is not a good sign, it could cause a rupture at any time.
Instead of trying to cover up a potential problem you really should replace the line(s).
- Honda CBR250R red line reliability? Heres the problem-how well built is the engine?-I have heard that the bike top speed is no more than 90mph but the reason I ask is because wether I get this bike or the CBR929RR am going to be riding around a lot especially long highway journeys. I would add a high air flow air filter and an exhaust system to the CBR250R so that would be a noticeable power increase for this particular bike I'm sure but IS IT OK TO KEEP IT CLOSE TO RED LINE FOR HOURS?
- How do I wire a Baja designs speedometer back light on my 2001 honda xr250r? Got 01 Honda xr250r it has a Baja designs kit on it. I just got the Baja designs universal speedometer and it has a two wire bulb socket for the backlight display one power red wire and ground black wire? I will be using quick splice wire connectors so I was wondering which wire do I splice so the bulb in the speedometer will turn on the same time with the running lamp in the headlight?
- Recommendations anyone? Honda ridge line? I have a honda ridgeline 2006 RTS 100% stock and I'm planning on getting General Grabber AT2 Radial Tire - 255/65R17 110SR. I also want to get the Traxda 202020 2" Front/2" Rear Lift Kit. Would anyone recommend better tires or lift for this honda that would fit? Also, what other accessories would someone recommend for better off road use?
- What's a reasonable cost for a break line fix on a 96 Honda Accord? I have a 96 Honda Accord that has a pinhole in one of my rear break lines. How much would the part be to replace the line, and how long would it take a mechanic to fix it? I prefer to shop locally, so I would like to go to a mom and pop repair shop. What would be a reasonable estimate to replace just the faulty line, and what would be reasonable it I just replaced both back lines, just in case?
