1994 Honda Accord LX motor swap to VTEC?
I have a 1994 Accord that is super clean. The original motor gave me all it could give with almost 400,000 miles. I found a local VTEC motor but I'm not sure what's involved with the swap, since the original motor is not VTEC. They man at the salvage yard says that all I need is to use the VTEC wiring harness and I'm good to go. Does anyone have experience with this?
You'd need a VTEC ECM and wiring. But the car will run fine without it. It kicks on at a fairly high rpm that you may never reach. It will need to have the same Distributor plug and it should be the same on non VTECs. Look on Wikipedia for the different engines for that car. The EX is the only one with a VTEC.

- What would be the best motor swap for my 99 honda civic dx? Planning on doing a motor swap but wanna make sure I get it right the first time. Was planning on doing a b20z swap and order it from Hmotors. Would that be a good swap? If so i'm not sure of all the parts I would need.
