Broken passenger side mirror on my 2017 Honda Accord LX! Help(I have pictures)

So, my passenger side mirror is hanging loose. It can be put back into place. After inspecting it, it looks like glue could possibly put it back into place? I have provided pictures.

What do you all think? Went to get it looked at, and I was told it would cost me anywhere between $300-$400, plus labor to replace. Want to see if there are other options.

There are no electrical problems to move the mirror, nothing severely damaged at all. Just need to buy the glass and stick it back on. But as far as the part, can gluing this solve everything? What glue do any of you recommend? Unless any car experts out there have any other advices?

Thanks! Broken passenger side mirror on my 2017 Honda Accord LX Help I have pictures

Sorry, not really repairable. Not satisfactorily anyway. They do not sell the glass separately. Do you have insurance with a low deductible (less than price of mirror plus labor)? Have the insurance company deal with it and take it to a Honda dealership for the repair. Otherwise, order a new mirror assembly online (cheaper than at auto parts house or dealership) and then have it installed by any competent repair shop if you don't have the tools / skills to do it yourself. Alternately, look for a replacement at a junk yard.

I haven't repaired that type of mirror yet. Usually they pull the studs out of the base of the mirror by the A-pillar. I'd take the door panel off to disconnect the harness connector and remove the mirror base from the door. Then try figuring out if something broke on the mirror where it attaches to the base of if you can plug the mirror back on the base by twisting it at different angles. It's to new a car to find a used mirror. The bright side is it's black so you won't have to paint a new one to match the car. That'll save you a good $100. Take your VIN to the dealer parts department so they can find you the right part.

Glue? No, it won't work. It needs to be replaced. You can't get the glass separately, the unit is only sold as a module.

I once side swiped a garbage bin that was sitting too far out in the road. It did similar damage to my mirror as I can see in your picture. The only way to fix it was to replace the entire mirror assembly! I did it myself and found that it was easier than I had originally imagined. But I had to get the mirror assembly from the dealer, which is the only place to get them. Unless your car is old enough to find in a scrap yard for parts.

What was worse for price was that my mirror was not only an electric mirror but it has a defrosting heating coil in it as well which raised the price of a replacement. Needless to say I'm now very careful to drive the streets that have the garbage bins out front!

All the pieces can be welded together with acrylic cement. I use "Weldon 16 Fast Set" that is sold at "Tap Plastics". After all the parts are fixed screw it back on with the bolts that came with it.
