Honda accord 2001 squeaking?

My honda accord 2001 is sqeaking badly, someone said it was the belt and tensioner but its not because i got that changed., could you guys please look at my video on youtube so you can hear the sound. Every mechanic i goto fix the wrong thing and its getting expensive could you please listen to the video., and give me your feedback., Thanks!

It does it when you're turning the wheels? Jack it up and take that tire off then do it again. Since it's nice and loud, the sound should be easy to pinpoint. I'd guess a bad ball joint but that's just a guess.

Have you had brakes done recently. Sometimes the dust shield can get bent and hit the rotor sometimes causing a squeal.

Wow that sucks man sounds like you might need either a rack and pinion or a new axle.

Terrible squealing noise. Metal to metal squealing sound… Why it's so hard for other people failed to locate while they are there with the car and hearing the noise first hand? Wishing I was there.

The noise is there with the wheels not turning and the frequency goes up a notch when the wheels turned. Sound to me that you'll have to pop the hood up and try to locate if the noise coming from the front of the engine behind the timing belt covers.

Be better to have the front timing covers completely removed and listen closely to the T- belt tensioner bearing and the balance shaft belt tensioner bearing as well.

If not the next thing I would suspect is the water pump impeller blades are gouging on the engine due to a defected W/P bearing.

Edit: Pop open the hood and do another video with a better view may help me to have a better view and hearing better. My two cents.HTH

I'm with liverhuyen2003 - it has to be engine driven something, but that is nothing like a squealing belt. Throwing out this thought: it sounds like something that spins freely and then scrapes when the belts are loaded… The pitch drops rapidly.

I would be tempted to remove the accessory belts and see if it went away. That's a head-scratcher.

Sounds more like dry rubber bushings. I notice marks like you may have hit a curb. Could be the torsion bar bushings or sway arm. Try getting some grease on the rubber bushings between the metal cups.

  • Is a squeaking noise when you let off the brake pedal in your car a serious problem? Whenever I let off the brake pedal in my Honda, I hear a squeak noise. Is this something that likely just needs to be lubricated/cleaned on the brake mechanism, or is it signs of a more serious problem? It is not the brake pads; those have been replaced recently. Is this something I need fixed As soon as possible, (possible brake failure) or is it something that just simple (not serious ) maintenance?
  • Honda crv squeaking again. From the back side. Over bumps 98 model? My crv was squeaking bad so I had my camper bushings replaced last year and the noise stopped. Now all of the sudden it started making the same squeak over bumps again only after a year. The garage guy told me to lubercate them. Considering my car isn't low to the ground can't I just crawl under and spray the lubercant without lifting the car up?
  • Squeaking brake noise on driver side? I have a 99 honda civic dx hatchback and it makes a chirping noise when i'm driving but when i brake the noise goes away. I changed the pads and changed the rotors aswell and the caliper is still good and is still making this noise when i turn right the chirping noise slows down and when i turn left the chirping noise goes nuts and i'm getting a head ache from this
  • Good/fast motor for 2001 honda accord? My motor is starting to mess up, and if I'm going to replace it I'm gonna do it better. It's the v4 model also. What would be some prices? And would I need to replace transmission?
