How long will a honda accord 1999 last?

Its a stick shift 1999 honda accord with around 180, xxx miles. Any predictions how long it will last till i need to get a new car?

That can't be predicted with that information. And you can't predict a cars life to accurately anyways. But if that car has been well maintained, and not 'riced out' by some idiot kid, and left in stock form, and All maintenance performed on time, and not driven like a race car. Then it will very likely last another 100k miles or more.

But theoretically a car will last infinitely depending on how much money you want to spend on it. You can replace engines and transmissions forever, etc… And be on the 8th engine and have 923k miles on the car. But on average you are doing real good to clear 200k miles without needing some sort of major engine or transmission repair. Things break eventually, you might make it to 300k without any major engine work, anything past that is like playing the lotto with a mechanic bill though. If you love the car still at that point, then spend about $2500 and put a NEW engine into it with a warranty, and keep on driving.

As everyone else has said… You really can't determine how long a car will last, BUT I have had pretty good luck with my Honda & Acura engine wise. My 97 Acura has over 295k and runs pretty well. I have met quite a few other people with cars around 250k (or better) miles and the bulk of them have been Honda/Acura & Toyota car owners.

180k miles on a Honda is really getting close to the end of its life without needing repairs.

Nope, no one has a crystal ball for cars, so a day, a month, a year or more these is just no way to know.

That said, your car lie 16 years old with high miles, if you sell it now you might be able to get some good money from a teen with delusions of grandeur of this car.
