I lost my car key, have no replacement or duplicate?

I have a 2001 honda accord, the key is chipped. Is it cheaper to have a locksmith come and fix it? They said it's be 125 dollars for a new one and the service. Is going to the dealership going to be cheaper or more expensive?

I don't know how much an igntion is for that car but i had a similar problem with a 2000 cavalier and it was cheaper to goto autozone and buy a whole new ignition and put it in two new keys and for 75 bucks. Its not hard to change one normaly either. Look into it and then vistit youtube on how to do agian its not a hard job normaly

You may contact the dealership regarding the issue. But I'm quite sure the price that the locksmith quoted you will be less. You can double check that with other locksmith also.
At the same time locksmith do the wok more quickly compared to dealership. I guess that can be another reason to opt for locksmith service.
