Trying to finance my first car?

Hi so I'm 19 and I'm in the process of getting my permit/license I'm looking to get my first car I know I can't afford to buy the car I want so I was looking to lease. The cars I'm most interested in right now are the Nissan Altima, Toyota Camry and Honda accord. I'm looking to pay Nomore then about 300 a month HOPEFULLY. Can anyone refer me to a good dealership or should I go to the Nissan of Manhattan to lease the car? Somewhere that can help me get more information because this is my first Time Lol and I don't really know too much about how everything works.

At your age and financial resources, you probably can't qualify for a lease. You may be setting your sights too high. A better option may be for you to look for a good used car that you can buy for cash or at least with a large down payment. If you have enough income to be able to pay $300 per month, you should be able to get financing from your bank if the amount is not as large as you would need for a new car. Don't forget that with any car you will also be paying for insurance, maintenance, and operating costs.

You won't get approved for a lease because you have to have better credit to lease than to buy.

Frankly, you don't have the credit history to get financed for a new car in most cases, and with your budget, the best you could hope for is a Corolla, Fit, Yaris, Civic, etc.

Besides, a lease is the worst financial decision you can possibly make. It's a rental car.

Leasing requires excellent credit. At 19 you will not qualify for a lease.

Leasing is a waste of time and money with no return but the use of a car. Sure your paying low monthly payment, but what will you have to show for it at the end. NOTHING. When you buy a car, you will atleast have some kind of asset to work with if you want to get another car. And you can put as many miles on it as you want and do what ever you want to it. Research, before you go and do something.

  • Is it better to buy a car cash or finance it? Let's say i have the money to buy a new car, a honda for example. Is it better to buy it cash or finance it?
  • Purchase new car finance 8% interest 72 month good or not? I just get honda crv 2014, brother co-sign for me honda.com website show 2 % , but when they check credit and finance is 8 % is that a lie, how come website show 2 % they told me 2% for exelence credit but website doesn't say that, i though 2 % is for everyone when credit approve so 8 % is it good or no good to get, i feel like that too much
  • I want a new car but i have a finance car? I own a 2006 Lexus is250, and recently test drove a Honda Civic Si. I personally am looking for a manual car. So therefore i got bored of the lexus. Now the problem is that i still owe money on the lexus. The honda i test drove is less then what i owe on the lexus. What happens to the balance on the lexus. Do they add it to the new balance or do they offer to pay the rest off? Would this also hurt my credit score?
  • Finance a car and pay it off in 2-6 months? I'm planning to buy a new 2015 Honda Civic EX at $20,079. I want to pay it full on credit. I don't wanna spend 5 years paying it off. The dealers won't let me pay for it (fully) in credit and want cash or check. If I finance it for 1.9% for 4-5 years can I pay it off within 2-6 months without paying interest?
