What is wrong with my cassette player?

Please READ THE WHOLE DESCRIPTION BEFORE ANSWERING. I have a 1996 Honda Accord LX. It has a Cassette radio. I bought a cassette adaptor to be able to connect my ipod and play it. It worked fine and all, until one day it just ejected itself while playing a song. I put it back in and then it started to hesitate and click many times and then ejected itself again. I looked at the cassette and the wire and they look perfect, nothing wrong at all. It will not stay inside the radio at all, just ejects itself after it tweeks out inside. The radio works perfect though. I can play the radio and change the stations no problem. What can this be? Can it just be that it will not register the cassette anymore? Will a new one be good again?

Get a mini fm transmitter instead

You can TRY cleaning the head on the cassette player, (if you can still FIND a head cleaner). Make sure adapter is squarely mounting in. I remember wedging matchbooks into 8-tracks to get them to play. Consider upgrading to 21st century electronics?

I have no idea about the cassete player, but you can also get a mini fm transmitter instead
