When driving Rpms move up and down when letting off gas pedal?
I have a 1991 honda accord when the car is driving and my foot is on the gas pedal the rpms are ok but if i let off to coast or slow a little the rpms will move up and down between 1500 and 2000 every time they go up the car feels like it boosts itself then slows then boosts it has a delay when doing this like 1 sec before the rpms go up or down
also the car does not do this when in park only driving?
so i need a main solution to this i was thinking mabey a vacuum leak or somthing with the throttle or the distributer cap help and suggestions would be much appreciated
Yes it does sound like a vacuum leak. It could also be a dirty throttle body or your Idle air control.
- My Honda S2000 Clutch pedal thumps as I press down on it as if it gets stuck for a quick second. Why? I think it got worse, not when I try to Press all the way down on the gas on the free way to go fast, the RPMs shoot way faster and the MPH moves very very slowly? Any ideas?
- My breaks pedal goes all the way down? I just changed the master cylinder and break booster on my 1997 Honda Del sol. The breaks still sink all the way down. I still have yet to bleed them. But how big of a difference will bleeding the air out of the system do the my sinking break pedal. Or is there another reason my break pedal would be doing this? Keep in mind I haven't bleed them yet. Any help would greatly be appricated.
- Why does my car engine rev up and down? It revs up and down all the way up to 3x rpm and down? Also when i step on the gas pedal it revs up all the way to the top 8x rpm and stays right there even when i let go of the gas pedal. Please anyone who can tell me why this happens? This is a 1995 honda civic by the way
- Why do my headlights go off but my clusters lights get brighter as I step on the gas pedal? Why do my headlights go off in my 1990 honda civic and my clusters lights get brighter and my heater blows air harder as I step on the gas pedal? Can some one please help me
