Why do the newer Honda Accords and Civic Touring models have LED strip light as headlights?

I get it yes they have LED daytime running lights my Rogue has that. But how come their headlights instead of it being one bulb that shines, its like a whole line of bulbs?

and how come Honda only does that? My friend has LED headlights on his charger and it is just one bulb.

Style, just style.

Because it looks bad azz

Because that's how the engineers at Honda decided to design the lights.

Lots of cars have that.

One of the cool things about Light Emitting Diodes (LED) is that they can be used in many different applications. Vehicle designers and manufacturers DO NOT all have to follow the exact same pattern for the headlights on their cars. As long as they meet the standards of the people who write the regulations, they are free to use any sort of headlight array that they want.

Led lights draw little current. In this day and age of massive numbers of electronic gadgets using juice in our cars, incandescent light bulbs, which draw a lot more current, don't make sense.

In liberal California, incandescent lights for the home have been banned.
HUH, liberals DO on rare occasions, come up with a good idea.
