Why does my honda lose power?

I have a 1990 Honda Accord that often lose power. I've gotten a new battery and my alternator is also fine. Does anyone know what else can be cause this problem?

The more wear the engine gets, the less power it makes.

It's time for a new car. That's what it is telling you.

Get anything but a honda(unless its a nsx or a s2k)

Your description was not clear about "Loosing power" But since you've mentioned the Battery and Alternator so I think I'm on the right track. There won;t be any talking about conventional thing like drive belt or such simple things that you've already know… Lol.

I can't believe that all five answers before me were… Shi**y answers. What has happened to YA forum? Waking up people. Help is what we're after if you can provide. Not joking…

To David (The poster): You've replaced the battery and the alternator checked out. How did you know the alternator is good? What were the charging rates (Under no load and under load)? What about the battery cables, its terminals. Have they been checked out?

Any light on the dash cluster? Any code? If everything checked out good then the ELD must be the cause of failure. Like I've asked before: Any light? Any code?

If not, then your vehicle falls into a classic case of what I've called: "Parasitic draw": Check the vehicle for parasitic draw. This is how:

You can buy a cheap DVOM (Digital Volt Ohm Meter) from your local auto part stores and perform the same parasitic draw test on your vehicle as sown in the video above.
