1996 honda civic ball joints labor?
I got quoted 1.5 hours PER SIDE to do the ball joints that cost me $12 for the kit for both. Seems a bit excessive?
I see the kit came with snap rings, does it really take that long? I've been seeing 200-300 labor online everywhere.
Added (1). *lower ball joints*
The Mitchell On Demand labor guide shows 1.9 hrs per side. So yeah, it takes that long.
Try it yourself and find out. Good luck.
I was a tech for 30 years we get paid flat rate. Most jobs that pay an hour I could do in substantially less time due to many years experience. That's how we make money. Either pay someone or do it yourself. 1.5 for a ball joint sounds about right.
When YOU walk in with the parts they will up the time because they really hate when people do that. Say there's an issue with one of the parts. Wrong size or whatever. Now they have to deal with you so you can straighten it out. While you car is on their lift sitting there. I don't think so. And your going to tell them you looked it up and this is how long it takes. This is not slavery. You are hiring someone that can say take your balls to someone else. Let them put them back on.

- Torque value for upper and lower ball joints on a 2003 honda accord v6 sedan? Anybody know how many foot pounds of torque the castle nuts need to be tighened with a torque wrench on a 2003 accord v6 sedan? Tried researching online but couldn't find info. Also if anybody knows the torque for the compliance bushings. Any help will be appreciated. And if anybody knows would they need to be tightened with a load on the suspension or no?
