20 inch rims on my 2012 Honda Civic lx sedan?

I was just wondering if I put 20 inch rims on my car would it damage anything to the car? I wouldn't lower the car at all. Could I put the rims on without having any issues later down the road? Is it going to cause any issues?

The issues will IMMEDIATELY BECOME OBVIOUS. Don't need to drive anywhere.

Bigger rims mean smaller sidewall tires which means rougher and louder ride.

Will look goofy as **** and ride the same.

Might as well put a 3' spoiler and vinyl gfx on it with some schweet LED underglow.

Possibly. If you decrease the height of the side wall then you will have a harsh ride, if you hit a large pothole it can ruin your wheel and suspension. If you get bigger wheels than you will have to buy the correct tires. Example, if the original tire size is 215/65R17 and you get an 18 inch wheel, then the tire size would be 215/55R18. Buying the wrong tire size means inaccurate spedomiter reading (possibly leading to a ticket). Plus larger wheels means more weight.

I hsve seen a Honda with 20 inch rims, but you will need really low profile tires. If you get really low profile tires they ate alot more expensive

Potholes will eat your low profile tires. Your ride will be harsh because sidewalls help absorb impacts. If you must do this, keep your old wheels and tires. But as another commenter said, it isn't a good look.
