2000 Honda Civic Si, tips?

I'm a senior in high school about to graduate and I just got a new car to take to college. It is a 5 speed 2000 Civic Si. I'm not looking to make it "fast" nor a ricer, it is already quick for my standards considering how much of an eco car it is. I was thinking of a few mods tho. What would be some cheap little mods that would increase performance a bit? Maybe a little more speed/acceleration, handling, braking, comfort, appearance? I'm not opposed to speeding it up… I just don't want to be that guy that drops loads of money into a civic.

Cold air intake, headers, exhaust, short shifter and that's pretty much it for cheap mods. You could make it go on a diet and take off your a/c, cruise control, power steering but I wouldn't go that far. It's summer so most likely you'll need a/c and cars without power steering suck at low speeds and parking lots. You could make it more "aerodynamic" and buy a rear window visor or just some lighter wheels.

Air intake and catback, catbacks are loud but they really do increase performance. I hate how getting one immediately makes people see you as a ricer… Also, I personally want big brakes on my next car so if you want to have a little handling boost, get some nicer brakes. Honestly though, I'm not sure how much this stuff costs, just go to carid.com or look up some honda aftermarkets. There are plenty of options for your car, have fun man.

  • Tips for motorcycle storage? So I got a new motorcycle a Honda CBR 500 and right now I'm just getting used to it driving short trips and around my aunts development. But once I get used to it I'm going to take it home and I Don't have a garage to keep it in. I also have a stone driveway like loose rocks so I was wondering what would be the best and most secure way for Me to protect it while I'm not riding it?
