2011 Honda Civic 1.8 AC problems?

After putting 2 used ac compressors the ac still blows hot air. The ac clutch turns on and off. What other problems could it have.

Also don't forget to search this on Google.

Is the freon level correct? One sign that its low is when the compressor constantly kicks on and off within a few seconds instead of running for a decent amount of time. Make sure the radiator and condenser fans are coming on.Start the vehicle and turn the ac on max, are both cooling fans on? If not, that's your problem. Both fans are supposed to come on so that heat can be removed from the freon while its in the condenser. The condenser is mounted directly in front of the radiator usually. If fans aren't working, check the relays, fan motor, cooling fan switch(if vehicle has one)and the computer. If fans are working, make sure the condenser fins are free of debris.A dirty or clogged condenser will cause ac to blow warm air. Make sure the fan speed on the ac control panel is set on its highest or next to highest setting when ac is on max. If it isn't, the evap core will freeze up. With fan on high, if little to no airflow is coming from the vents and the fan is working right, the evap core is froze up

Seeing all of the details you have provided, this is my best analysis and conclusion.

Maybe the original compressor suffered internal damage due to lack of lubrication due to low refrigerant charge (the oil is carried by the refrigerant). Thus scattering debris and other metal dust/flakes throughout the system, which the two subsequent compressors have successfully been able to force the blockage even tighter into the condenser, drier filter and expansion valve, thus creating a never ending restriction that causes the low side to pull down way to quickly-causing a low pressure cut-off of the compressor. Then after the compressor is off, the system might naturally equalize enough to allow a pressure rise at the low pressure switch and the compressor turns on again, then the cycle repeats itself…

I bought it brand new for around $24000. but now I regret not following my heart and not buying the Mercedes C300. Would you trade in your new 2013 Honda with a used 2010/2011 Mercedes C300 with around 50,000 KM on it? Why and why not?

  • Is it normal for a 2011 Honda civic to have loud wind/rattling noises at about 65 MPH? I'm test driving a 2011 Civic. I like the way it drives, but I took it on the highway and when it reaches 65 mph it makes a loud noise it sounds like wind blowing through the left side of the car. The faster I go the louder it sounds. Is that normal. I have been driving the dealer crazy for over a week now.
