Bad wire ground in head unit?
My Kenwood x597 head unit is causing distortion in my 2010 Honda Civic with aftermarket speakers. When the system is running, i get a low buzzing sound that is evident of a bad ground. I've made a very good ground but i still get some distortion. All distortion instantly disappears when I turn on the headlights or brightlights. This makes no sense to me, it seems to be a too much power or bad ground issue.
You may need to get your supressor checked or even get a bigger one this is what stops bad feedback from the alternator. (Sending more power than needed to the head unit) or it could be wireing between the amp and head unit if you are running one. If so you need to separate the rca cables and the power cables running to the amp. Like run one down 1 door trim and the other down the other side.
- Would it be, a bad idea for me to try and fix a blown head gasket? Its for a honda. Stock d16 aftermarket rims and is 1500 with a blown head gasket. My dad is the best honda mechanic in my town. He would be guiding me through it. Also the car had 137k miles and good paint. How much would it be worth if it was fixed?
- Will a Honda head unit fit in a Mitsubishi? I have a 2003 Mitsubishi Galant. I recently purchased a Pioneer aftermarket head unit off of Amazon (1 DIN) and all the installation kits that I see at Pepboys, Autozone, etc are all for cars of makes with Honda/Acura, General Motors, etc. Will a Honda (same year) single DIN installation kit fit in my 03 galant? Or do I have to get a specific fitment for my car?
- Why won't my head unit turn on? I have a 1995 Honda Civic Hathcback. I just replaced my alternator and after i did that, my head unit will no longer turn on. The head unit itself still works, just not in my car, and none of my fuses are blown. My cigarette outlet still works and its on the same fuse as my head unit, which doesn't work. I didn't know if this was a common problem people have, but I can't figure out what's wrong with it.
- What is my remote wire connected to on my Honda civic 2005 head unit? I have an aftermarket head unit and this is the one i have http://www.cartoys.com/cdx-gt570up and i'm going to install a amp and subwoofer and cartoys installed my deck but i just looked at the remote wire that i would connect to the amp and something is already connected to it and i do not know what that is. I believe that the wire color it was connected to was either yellow and white or yellow and green.
