Best anti theft method on honda?
Need some tips on how to keep my car from getting stolen, its my first car and its an older car. I live in apartments which forces me to park on the street, what's the best way i can prevent it from being stolen? Its a civic btw
One of the most stolen cars. Pull the PCM relay every night and put a dummy relay.
Get a quick release, and take the steering wheel with you. You can't steal a car if you can't drive it.
Fit an aftermarket car alarm.
Don't keep the key in the ignition.
Nothing will stop all thieves. A steering wheel lock, like The Club, is fairly effective. Alarms, not so much.
A rising number of car thefts now are by tow truck. If you are forced to park on the street you are a prime target for that method. Using a steering wheel lock properly (wheels turned hard, parking brake on) will foil most tow truck theft.
Remove the rotor arm
Aftermarket security systems are best- particularly the kind that pages you when the vehicle is tampered with.
- What will replacing my front stock anti sway bar do to my cars handling? So my car is a 2003 Honda Element awd and I've been looking at upgrading the sway bars but ONLY the front one. My question is if I only do that sway bar but not the rear ones, will it do any better or worse for my handling when taking highway corners and curves at higher speeds? The sway bar I'm looking at is from st suspension. https://wheelwell.com/shop/st-suspension/suspension/sway-bars/front-anti-swaybar--50183?submodel=EX&make=Honda&model=Element&year=2003
