Does High Performance chips work on hybrids?

I have a 2007 honda civic hybrid and i was wondering does those performance chips or car performance programers work on hybrids? I heard they give better gas mileage and more power? I need one because my car does have much horse power and the MPG isn't good anymore because i have Performance tires with Honda Civic Si rims.

Basically no. The cheap ones are simply a scam, and the expensive ones only really give any benefit on a modified engine.

You seem confused over what sort of car you want.

Ianab has the first best answer. You can't get more power *and* more fuel efficiency by sticking strange operating parameters into the ECU. Honda spent millions of dollars determining the best balance of fuel economy, power, emissions compliance, and engine life. Do you really want to replace those carefully chosen values with something off the street? You can get more of one but will get less of all the others.
