Does High Performance chips work on hybrids?
I have a 2007 honda civic hybrid and i was wondering does those performance chips or car performance programers work on hybrids? I heard they give better gas mileage and more power? I need one because my car does have much horse power and the MPG isn't good anymore because i have Performance tires with Honda Civic Si rims.
Basically no. The cheap ones are simply a scam, and the expensive ones only really give any benefit on a modified engine.
You seem confused over what sort of car you want.
Ianab has the first best answer. You can't get more power *and* more fuel efficiency by sticking strange operating parameters into the ECU. Honda spent millions of dollars determining the best balance of fuel economy, power, emissions compliance, and engine life. Do you really want to replace those carefully chosen values with something off the street? You can get more of one but will get less of all the others.
- Is the reason why a motorbike engine won't work in a car because they can't produce high torque at low RPM? I have a 1.3 litre Mitsubishi Colt. Maximum power output 94 BHP at 6000 rpm Maximum torque 92 FT/LB at 4000 rpm Honda 2017 CBR1000RR 1 litre Maximum Power output 189 HP at 13,000 RPM 85.6 FT/LB at 11,000rpm
- Why don't my windshield wipers work on high speed? I have a 92 Honda Civic Si and i'm having a problem with my front wipers, sometimes they work, sometimes they get stuck and sometimes they don't work at all. They only move when i turn the off button. I changed the motor and its doing the same thing. Could it be the linkage?
- I have a 94 Honda civic. My high beams don't work I was wondering why? Okay so when I turn my headlights on, the low beams works. When I turn it the high beams on the headlight shut off and the parking light stay on.
- Is there anyway I can prevent rock chips? Probably a dumb question. I recently purchased a 2012 Honda Accord, I've had it for about a month and every time I wash it, there's a new scratch or rock chip on the hood and it's really annoying. Just wondering if there's anything I can do? And what's my best bet for touch up paint to cover up the small rock chips? They drive me crazy. My 1999 integra doesn't even have any of these scratches or rock chips.
