How much would it cost to change front struts/ shocks on a honda civic 2001?
I think that it would cost no more than or a little over $300 (parts + labor). I went to one mechanic that gave me a quote for $575 ($240 for the parts, the alignment, and labor) lol… Which is ridiculous for a fairly old economy car.
You don't have a clue about repairs then. The age of the car is irrelevant. New struts for the front would be about $100, give or take. An alignment is usually about $100. And labor is typically about $95/hr. Figure 3-4 hours to swap them out… That's about $600. So $575 is about right.
Shoot, as a shadetree mechanic I charge $200 to swap 2 front struts, and I'm not a professional mechanic. I typically charge half of what a normal shop would charge.
- About how much would it cost to repair the front bumper on my car? The right side of the bumper on my 2003 Honda Pilot was hit today and it's a bit dented in along with what appears to be scratches perhaps. Like, they're these streaks of white paint on them that I think might also be scratches. Would I have to replace the entire bumper or can that be fixed by itself?
- My car is front wheel drive and the rear shocks are leaking will the car last at least two weeks until I can go to a mechanic? My car is Honda 2010 2dr front wheel drive I went to the mechanic yesterday and he told me that rear shocks (not front) were leaking and that I should replace them now or they can cause an accident the thing is he is charging too much and I can get them fixed for cheaper in the city but I'm in college right now and the soonest I can go is in two weeks will my car last that long or is he just trying to scare me into paying As soon as possible the car ride home is like 3hours as well

- How much would it cost to change an aircon fan blower? My car has recently started making an really annoying rattling noise coming from the far right fan. (left in america) The aircon itself is ice cold and i have no issues with it besides this, they've lubed the fan itself but they said if it doesn't stop i'll have to get it replaced. I just wondered if anyone had a rough estimate of price? The car is a 2005 Honda Jazz.
