I'm very interested in buying a Honda civic 2011 with 29k, for $11000, but it was in an accident?
The price is good, I trust the dealer, but he bought it from auction. A carfax report revealed that it was in an accident 2 years ago. No further details are available. I have a very trustworthy mechanic that will check out the car before I decide to buy it. The dealer is fine with me giving the car into my mechanic before I make any decisions. Should my mechanic feel that the car was well maintained and the body is fine and body work is fine. Should I purchase the car? It was not a total or a salvage and has a clean tittle.
I have bought a van in the past that carfax revealed the accident and have owned it for 7 years and is running great.
If your mechanic OK's it, go ahead. Most cars have been in some kind of accident. Mine got bumped in a parking lot, and the only damage was to the rear left quarter panel. But it'll show on the Carfax because we went through insurance to take care of it.
All that really matters is what your mechanic says. Since you're investing $11,000, make sure he checks EVERYTHING-- opens up the engine, transmission, etc. The accident could have been very minor, I wouldn't worry too much about that.
- Have you seen any road-accident occurring before your very eyes? Lately, in our area, a speeding Honda-City car hit a bike-driver; The bike-driver was sent flying to a height and then fell hard on the coal-tar road, and died after a few hours in hospital;

- Would you buy a Jeep Liberty 2007 model with 29K mi on it? I drove a Jeep Liberty from 2003 til 2011. I love it, but the transmission was screwing up, so I traded it in for a brand new Honda CRV. I loved my Jeep, and my Honda is no comparison. Its small and I feel like its too small. I'm going to look at a low mileage Jeep Liberty tomorrow. What's your thoughts?
