I have a 2005 Honda Civic LX that needs the front wheel bearings replaced. How do I find out if its a press or hub assembly?
Rockauto lists the bare bearing for $8 to $40 and the hub with bearing kit for $28 to $130. In my experience few of us (including me) have a press that is up to the task of pressing the bearing in and out. I think the last time I had a local machine shop do it the fee was about $30.
Watch youtube video for that. I'm fairly certain they are press in bearings.
You need a 10 ton press and press tools to hold the steering knuckle.

I need to know what tool fits the bearing housing to get the hub off of the Honda passport'97 so I can put a new one on it a photo would be great I know its a hub nut tool w/2 prongs I think but what does it look like so I can find one please help
- Won't start not sure if water pump needs replacing or needs new engine? 2004 Honda civic DX 1.7L engine 155k? My car won't start i had to press the gas really hard to get it going before but now it started smoking(white) from under the hood and smelling burnt every time we try and start it up. I saw leaking under the car. Probably the coolant because its blue. Not sure if a new water pump and timing belt would do the job and or if we need to swap the entire engine. Before this I noticed that the engine would get hot or shut off whenever we stopped moving and finally this happened.
- My rear lights don't come on when light switch its turn on. They only turn on when i press the brake pedal? (same with the cluster assmbly) on my 1992 honda civic 4 door. All bulbs are good. Just replaced all fuses.
- Do they use same parts when installing a fender liner for the front wheel and the rear wheel for the Honda Accord 2012? Yeah sorry I know this is a dumb question but I don't know much about cars and I want to make sure I order the right parts online since my rear wheel fender liners came off as I was driving
