I installed a short ram intake in a 2013 Honda civic ex?

Sounds great but everytime I put the peddle to the floor it make a grinding sound from 1st to 2nd. Just wondering why this is.

If the 2 things are related then something (likely the timing or accessory belt) must be hitting the intake when you hit certain rpm in 1st. Otherwise it may be a loose or bad motor mount allowing the motor to rock excessively when you make the sudden shift

Because you are destroying your transmission by doing high RPM shifts. You are treating your car as if it is a racing vehicle when it is not. Do not expect the usual life span of 500k miles out of that Honda. You will be lucky to get 100k miles at this rate.

Hi so something has been and got damaged so take it to a honda dealer as it needs to be diagnosed and the warranty could be void because of the short ram intake silly boy.
