I Want To Assemble A Model Car. But?

One of my wish in life is to assemble a model car. Cutting the parts out, assembling them together and completing them.

I say that but… I've never successfully assembled one before. I've had two attempt - A McLaren SLR and a NA2 NSX-R(Early model without facelift.).

Both of which were never completed as they ended up broken or destroyed by me because I tend to glue the parts at stupid places. I just honestly think I'm not so good with my hands. Currently there's model for sale online that catches my attention, an EK9 Civic Type R model made by a company called "Fujimi", reason being that I grew up with Hondas at an early part of childhood… But that doesn't matter.

Should I… Should I give it a shot for my third attempt? I mean… I don't want to end up wasting my money and failing.

Can you be more specific please?

I'd suggest finding a model kit that has an easy rating to begin with. It's also a good idea to study the instructions thoroughly beforehand and to not use too much glue. The first 6 or so models I made looked really horrible but then I started to get the hang of it, it's one of those things you need to do a few times before you get good at it. I'd also suggest finding some of the cheaper models to start with until you get good, that way it's not so hard on your wallet. Happy Modelling

Go and buy the Honda kit but do not build it yet until you have built and painted a couple of snap-together car kits first - Tamiya, Revell/Monogram do make a few.

Tamiya do a 'Snap-Loc' series of cars
