My 2000 Honda Civic EX shuts off when driving it, sometimes it'll start back up but sometimes it won't
I got my tail pipe and muffler replaced. I also got the catalytic converter and MAP sensor replaced in my car as well. My dad believes it could be the fuel filter, but we have no clue what it really is.
Take it to a qualified mechanic; He will run a diagnostic check on it, and tell you what's wrong. Well worth the $ 50.00! Can't hurt to go ahead, and change the fuel filter first!
I follow the concept that if a car was working fine before some work was done that the work done is one of the reasons for the problem that followed. It is wise to return the vehicle to the auto shop that performed these services for further resolution. Guessing has never repaired a vehicle. Knowledge as to cars is scientific. That is why mechanics must be trained and certified. You also have used multi dots as punctuation mark. This is incorrect. It is a fad and it is bad grammar. Please, do no use mutli dots unless you know it is according to the rules of grammar. The term ellipsis. Look it up.

I did a compressin test, the pull start only gets the mower to 60psi but the drill gets the mower to 150psi. This mower does have a decompression vale where the ehaust opest about 1/8 of the way. I tore the ead off and checked and cleaned the valves. They don't stick open. Could there be an issue with the decompression valve? Or would it be the piston rings?

The check engine light is on so I took it to advance auto and they said that I've got a bad transmission sensor and a bad O2 sensor. Would the transmission sensor cause the car to shut off while driving down the road?
- 2000 Honda civic manual ex coupe sputtering and back firing the car will start but then shuts off? Catalytic converter, o2 sensor, and Ecu codes came up at auto zone. The O2 sensor has been changed I took off the catalytic converter, I reset the computer and my car still will not run still. I'm not sure where to start looking for another problem. Sometimes my car will start and run for a mile or two and others I can't make it out of my driveway.
