My 2001 Honda Civic stopped running?

I was having trouble getting up hills and past 20 mph and then on the highway it stopped accelerating. I also was having trouble getting it into 2nd gear, it would grind hard.

So I got it towed to the shop and they can't even inspect it because it won't drive at all. They want me to pay for a new clutch, but I have to wonder if I'll be paying for a new transmission or engine next. Can anyone help me out here?

Sorry, but no one can help here or anywhere… We can't inspect the vehicle… And the people at that shop are wrong - they can inspect the clutch at the least to see if it needs to be replaced or not… Have you kept maintenance records?

Clutch is likely shot. Could be time for a new or newer car.

I'd buy a different vehicle

Hi no one can help you what you have to get grips with the modern car is not designed to last for ever. In fact designed to last 10 years at the outside. So as yours is now 17 years old time it made new beer cans.
