My Honda Civic keeps overheating and accelerates very slow?
I have Honda Civic 98 EX coupe, and it overheats very quick, i replaced a leaking hose, i got the headgasket replaced, a new thermostate and it still overheats, the car also doesn't accelerate at the rate it should, i could have my foot flooring the gas pedal but it will take forever to eve reach 60 mph.
That's because Honda civics are pieces of **** that should never have existed. I think you should just trade it in and get a half decent car.
When you had the Head Gasket replaced if they didn't replace the timing belt and water pump while they had it apart, they were bad mechanics. But let's say they did. Your radiator should be checked for cold spots… Blocked tubes. But if it overheats really quickly I suspect your head gasket. Fill the radiator and start it with the cap OFF. If water shoots out your head gasket is bad. Some people call the Valve Cover Gasket the Head Gasket. If you don't have good Compression it will not make power.
- Have a 09 Honda 100cc dirtbike and it sounds bogged down and won't go very fast? I was riding and I accidentally downshifted. White smoke then came out of the exhaust and now it just sounds bogged down and won't go very fast at all.
- I have a 1997 Honda CRV all wheel drive. And it keeps overheating? I have checked all of the fluids and they are full. There are no leaks from the radiator or hoses, the antifreeze is full and the car keeps overheating. I haven't replaced the thermostat yet but is there something else that I'm NOT checking that could cause it?
- Why is my car moving very slow on uphill? Honda civic 1.4 2000 manual problem, car is terribly slow on uphill only. I must stop and allow others to overtake as a result of this problem. I have taken to many garage and their predictions were contradicted. However no one told me exactly what is the cause.
- I'm driving a 96 honda civic and my car has been shaking and overheating? I have check for leaks and everything is fine but i do have a rusted spark plug, i'm wondering if that may be the cause of shaking and excessive overheating to the point i'm driving with the heater on all the time. Can anyone let me know if the spark plug is the problem and if i replace this one rusted plug will the car drive back normally?
